The Revel of Bacchus by Jacob Jordaens

Join Star Club for the most important ritual of the winter - seeing the Sun through its darkest and longest night, to make sure it returns for the coming year!

Star Club will be using the Orphic Hymns Grimoire as re-translated by Sara Mastros to use all 88 Orphic Hymns in order, creating an overnight Bacchanal to see us through the middle of winter. There will be fire, and dancing, and wine, and music!*

The Orphic Hymns are used in Star Club to align and consecrate practitioners and materials during our Sympathetic Praxis, and the texts describe the Theogony of Greek Mythology along with the relations between these deities. This event will explore those connections, inviting participants to take up the mantle of the deities they feel aligned with, lean into the magic, and assume those God-forms for the evening. In between the Hymns we will be discussing the magical and mystical uses of the rituals, and how it feels to perform each one. This will be an exciting and challenging ritual, with a real sense of purpose and achievement on our completion.
